Today is day 2 of the raw food challenge. I’m not going hard core raw food this time around. I mean that is the end game but I’m working slowly up to it. I want to concentrate on food combining and eating 100% raw till noon. I’m not going to stress over a raw lunch and dinner at this point but I want to make sure that a 1/3 of those meals has something raw and that all the meals have the right food combinations. I’m not even going near my coffee addiction with a 10 foot pole. I will work on that later. I also came to conclusion that I was going to consider frozen fruits as well as vegetables to be raw. Sure the vegetables are usually blanched but until I find money, win the lottery or can get our garden growing I don’t see a way around it.

Today I had a green juice (collards, romaine, orange and apple) first thing. I have an apple and a kiwi to have for breakfast, and a salad and sprouted grain bread for lunch. I think dinner will be left over hoppin’ johns and collard greens and maybe some baked tofu.

Speaking of the garden… I can’t wait to get it going!!
